I was so hooked on photography that I built onto my house and added a full custom darkroom and office. It was by what probably would have been a den but I turned it into a studio. It was great to have that. I started doing color at home and since this was before one hour photo labs I was able to shoot, develop and print color in the same day. I made enough money shooting for lawyers to pay for all of my playing. I was the only guy in town that was shooting and printing color. I was still working for the University of Alabama but was making more freelance as a photographer that I quit the university and did photography only for close to 20 years.
Wowzers Don, I always wanted my own studio. Being a Photographer for 20 years really is the reason you are Super Moderator of the site. I am truly humbled by your praise of my work.
