The rules are clear as stated. I don't have a problem with them, however because this is more of a challenge for me to push toward better photography skills, I have limited "myself" to the added restriction of no exposure adjustment. That, to me, is the idea behind this challenge. Like Eyelight said, We're free to do as much or as little PP as is desired and that's great. Have fun and get your photos in. Ha!

Shot a slew, a whole passel of photos in the fading sunlight New Years Eve. Like several of them, but I keep coming back to this little sunlit patch of tranquility.

I forgot to take the chart with me when I went out this morning.

I had thought about that, but then figured I could remember f8/125 and go up and down from there. My secret to remembering it was that 1/8 = .125 in math so I related the numbers. I have to do things like that every once in awhile (Actually all of the time. Ha!)

This thread has left me wondering more about EV13, EV14, EV15.... Where is the chart that I can use? I copied the chart for EV13. Thanks for the information.

I posted a table here: http://nikonites.com/education/27972-ev-table-post398832.html#post398832

If you want to reinforce in your mind, just take the EV 13 numbers and either shorten the shutter speed by 1 stop or close the aperture by 1 stop to make an EV 14 setting and same to step to EV 15.

So, if you were to take the EV 13 list provided in Post #2 and halve the shutter speeds you would have an EV 14 list.

If you were to take the EV 13 list and stop down the apertures by 1 stop you would have an EV 14 list.

Higher EV numbers are like higher f/stops, in that they represent less exposure.

I set the camera up to F22 and shutter speed 1/15 as in the above list.

Then I set off around the house taking a number of pictures, and I liked this one the best.

I did open it in lightroom, to crop and straighten it, used lens correction, and just a little contrast adjustment, nothing else was done to it.
