HI,
I AM A LITTLE UNDER THE WEATHER SO DECIDED TO DO THIS A LITTLE EARLY SO IT IS DONE.
This week's photo challenge is "CARS". Old, blue or something new, running or not. Process as you please.
Be sure to read the NEW Weekly Photo Challenge Rules & Guidelines for more information.
1. Photos must be posted to the thread in order to be considered for the challenge. No gallery images or off-site links (flickr, 500px, etc) will be accepted
2. Any photo submitted for a weekly challenge must be taken during the dates specified in the challenge thread.
3. Only one photo entry per member for each week, unless otherwise noted.
4. All regularly active members of Nikonites are allowed to participate, including moderators and administrators.
5. All submissions need to be posted by TUESDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 20 th at MIDNIGHT US EASTERN TIME. The thread will stay open for an additional 24 hours for "likes" to be posted, followed by the voting thread for finalist.
Voting
During this round, please click the Like this post button to vote for your favorite images. You can vote for as many as you want! At the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to vote again for the top 3 photos for this challenge!

RULES: JUST A REMINDER.

How the Challenge Works

1. Each challenge will run for 1 (one) week, beginning on Wednesday and ending at midnight (Eastern US time/GMT-5:00) on the following Tuesday.

2. Every challenge will have it's own thread. The title of each thread will be titled as follows: Weekly Challenge [dates]: [subject].

3. A weekly winner will decide the topic of the next challenge.



Choosing a Winner

There will be a two step voting process in picking a winner of each Weekly Photo Challenge:

1. As each week's challenge is active, please use the "Like this post" button to vote for your favorite images. You can like as many photos as you want!

2. At the end of the week, the Weekly Photo Challenge Team will create a new voting poll of the Top 3 most liked images. Members will then vote for their favorite and declare a winner who will get to choose the next challenge topic.

In the event of a tie during the "liked" images elimination round, they will be added to the voting poll.

The polling round will only be open for 3 days, so be sure to get your votes in!

In the event of a tie at the end of the polling round, the Weekly Photo Challenge Team will determine a winner.

Great choice! I wish I could have done last weeks. But, when things around here get abandoned it gets torn down or taken away.

@nikonpup, your second post seems to contradict the first. Doesn't the submission end on Tuesday, correct? And if that is correct the date would be Aug 19?

Just trying to get it straight, because I confuse easily. Ha!

The challenge runs through Wednesday, after that the finalists are chosen. But you are right, submissions need to be in before Tuesday night at midnight eastern.

Not the clearest description, but I've struggled to come up with something better. Unless we consider the challenge closed with the submission cut-off, even though the thread is still open for votes .... in my mind I was trying it back more to how long the challenge thread is open.

just got "snowflake" back from the body shop all cleaned up. When you live on a dirt road clean does not last long.

sorry, it will not be accepted for this weeks challenge. Hope you have a change to re-shoot the shot, if you do please submit so we can see exif data (not as an attachment).
