Thanks John. I was just about to give up. It does seem to be a bottleneck along the way because it was just hanging and then suddenly when things started up the download was really fast...

on my laptop it looks like the speed is back, then i just did a recovery (win10 not 4 me)

Yesterday noon onward I could not load any page of the site. Kept trying till 10PM. Today in the morning it seems to be normal. I hope it remains for the rest of the day.

This site is getting slower and slower, not just from home but even my place of work, other websites are fine so not a broadband issue later
