Gossangs Tunnel. This is great. You clamber thru this low tunnel on your hands and knees and come out on a cliff face above the ocean

Looking back thru the tunnel, and that is my sister

I've spent most of the year so far between home and the boat equally. Haven't managed to get out on the boat much as we are trying to get it sorted out for a big trip mid year. We plan to leave Brisbane end of June and head north for 3 or 4 months. We've had a self tacker installed for the headsail. That makes life so much easier. We are upping our battery storage so our fridge can run happily without draining our batteries...we have a 125W solar panel and 240ah deep cycle battery storage ATM but adding another 120ah battery will give us just that little more room for overcast days. We had to get another solar regulator just after Christmas as ours died. Next will be the galley and sleeping...we need new cushions to sleep on and the galley doesn't have a stove so we hope to at least install a 2 burner gas stove and also get our gas BBQ installed on the back rail (it's hard to place it as we have so much other stuff, like 4 aerials & the tender outboard hanging there already and it's our access to the tender so we can't completely block off the back rail....anyway....

My computer died and I am having to PP on my laptop. I find this hard coz as you know if you tilt the screen it changes everything. Can you please comment on if these shots appear overly dark or light please

Was dogsitting for 10 days. Bob is one of the nicest and best behaved dogs I've ever met. He lives aboard a yacht on a marina, so apart from 2 very wet days we took him out each day down to the creek or to the beach.

I am so hoping the sailing weather improves soon. Been too windy overnight recently to get out much.... however we did manage 1 night out at the sandhills on Moreton Island again

Discovered the wrecks of the Fairlight (an 1800's steam paddle ship built in Scotland) and the Normanby ( I think was an old Manly ferry on Sydney harbour). Not much left of either who were both abandoned here in 1930

Nice shots, but the last eight are invalid attachments.

Thats the silly uploader Marilynne...they are the shots above. For some reason they wouldn't load up so I added them again and then couldn't delete the invalid links. So you haven't missed anything :D

Boy have I been busy.... so much to do, so little time. We've decided to sail up to the Whitsundays. We plan to be away for about 4 months. Exciting but also daunting. I've never sailed out in the ocean (except for a morning whale watching a few years ago) and my partner hasn't done it since the early 80's.... beginners almost. We head up to the boat tomorrow to start stocking for the trip and my house and garden have never looked so clean & tidy... and I won't be here. Just hope it is still clean and tidy when I get back.
