60/365......a fruitless day today, hence a long shot of a pigeon. Big birds that I would love to get a closer shot of but this is as close as I can ever get

62/365........vertigo. This is really an "ÄLMOST" shot. The focal point is way out of focus because I did it handheld, but I DO like the overall effect and would like to explore this a little more I think. Anyway...busy day, and the other shots I took were uninspiring.

Great photos, when I was on my walk I had a jumping spider land on my hand. Unfortunately I had no macro with me, but next time I will be walking with only my macro as there are many many bugs that call the 10ft high spear grass home :)

63/365......It's all mine!!

What a day. Started OK but about 10mins into our drive up the coast to collect the boat I got some serious stomach pains. We were in 2 cars so as to leave a car at the collection point and a car at the marina we were moving the boat to, so I couldn't let my man know I was feeling unwell (or crook as we say in Oz) so I pushed on. Stopped tho at one point as I just HAD to get out or it was vomiting while driving :D Was pretty dicey when we arrived to collect the boat but things improved after that....until anything went in my mouth. So I basically had nothing to eat or drink all day long :( and it was hot :( Figure I have gastritis.

Collected the boat and with wind (thankfully not much) and tide against us we motored the 16-20km up to our marina. Took 4 1/2hrs with our little 4hp motor. We are getting a bigger one. It did have a bigger one but we let the owner keep it because it was a 2 stroke and my fella hates 2 strokes.

Get to our marina and as we come into the berth..........

I fell overboard!! Don't laugh :D I somehow managed to hang on to the life lines and only get 1 foot wet but got some nice bruises as I went and hanging off the side of a boat by a few wires was no fun. All turned out OK tho. By the time we got home it had been a 12 1/2hr day. Slept well last night :D

Great looking Yacht, but wow what a story getting her to berth. Hope you are feeling better soon, and keep your fluids up.

What a saga Vixen. I hope the next trip is a bit more boring for you than the first one .
Looks like plenty of fun times ahead.

64/365.......

Thanks for your concerns re my belly. I feel fine now but am now feeling slightly the after effects of my highwire attempt and have a large bruise on one leg and a few muscles letting me know I still have them :D Not anything that will stop me doing anything.

Spent the day yesterday on our boat measuring up areas to put down some of the reams of marine carpet we seem to have on hand, and removing nay equipment we won't need for day sailing. The previous owner had intended to sail up the coast meaning some offshore work so he had equipped it for ocean sailing with safety gear that we won't need. My partner cannot swim and has sailed for 50yrs that way. Where we sail, at low tide if you fall in you could stand up in the main channel it's that shallow. Anyway.....lots of time spent sitting, measuring, checking how stuff works...like the hydraulic keel which is a luxury we haven't had before :D

So today's shot on a VERY busy and rather hot day is.......boats of course

Since you didn't mention it, I'm guessing you didn't have your camera on you when you went over.

No. I was supposed to be getting off and or fending off as we came into pontoon. My camera was safely stowed below. If I have to do anything on the boat I don't have my camera on me. It only comes out when we are cruising along and I don't need to go pulling on any ropes or scrambling across the deck.;)

65/365.....Tibouchina

A quiet day at home after a couple of busy ones. The only thing still flowering in my garden at the end of our summer.

Not 100% focus. Little fella was moving fast and with flash necessary 1/320 is the fastest shutter speed I can go :( but I liked the light
