Using LR to change color? YES!

I saw this technique used in another tutorial for something completely different once and it's been with me ever since. Very powerful way of balancing one particular color against the others. I use it for both Saturation and Luminance quite often to help bring out or tame things like an overly blue sky. You just have to be careful in that it is a global tool and the color could exist elsewhere in the photo.

What I really got out of this video is that I need to remember to save some personal Lightroom Presets to save me from having to click on some of the things I always click on for certain images ... like lens correction.

And the "Auto Mask" box is something I never use, and probably should.

Thanks for posting, great timing. I was just hacking my way through this type of thing last night on our faithful test cat. He has some really cool eyes, but they always look blah in the photos. I tried the targeted adjustment, but there are many unnoticed colors in the eye and everything else goes crazy. So I tried the new paint brush tool and the auto mask this morning. Great tools.
I know some people like paying for training, but these adobe videos are great. I like to hack around a bit, get stuck, watch a video and get unstuck, spend money elsewhere.

Pushed this one to the extreme with some extra green added in ....

I hate paying for training. :)

I love that companies like Adobe and Nik take the time to offer a plethora of free training videos for people who have bought, or are considering buying, their products. Investing in the artist makes sense when the artist is investing in the company.
