No! All Nikon products come with a warranty by the manufacturer. The designated Nikon service center will always repair "in warranty" Nikon products and perform "out of warranty" repairs. If you own a Gray Market product it will need to be returned to the reseller or importer for service. Refer to your reseller or to the warranty cards included with the product for service contact information.

If it wasn't imported by Nikon USA, it is considered gray market. Even if you are on vacation and buy gear and bring it home, they won't make an exception. Other countries laws are different but Nikon USA has a real strict policy.

The situation in the UK has been made fuzzy by Nikon UK saying they will not repair grey market cameras for owners or supply parts to independent repairers,ok look again at that statement,they do actually supply some parts to repairers and if the repair shop cant do the job they send it to nikon who then repair it,we have a member on here with a D4 or D4S grey that took that route,some of it is bluff big time on Nikons part to protect there market,like the old days when a Nikon 35mm camera came with a warning not to use none Nikon lenses as it could damage the camera and void the warranty.
