Thanks Helene for the nice comment. Comments are always welcome and mean more to me than the "likes".

I went to a nationfest in Sherbrooke yesterday with the D7000 and just the 55 1.2. It's interesting to not have a zoom and good practice. The manual lens does NOT have a big dof at 1.2 unfortunately for me, but I ended up with a few keepers. Here's one of my favorite:

I love the landscape shot. Absolutely stunning! The little boy shot is very interesting . . . the guy in the background resembles and alien :)

nLast night I was coming back from work and as I approched the railroad crossing the lights started flashing. I as quickly as I could took the camera out and just fired away. The shutter speed was a little too slow to freeze the train a little, and I could have used the flash with the back curtain synch (but not from inside the car ;) ) but I kind of like the effect I got with a little PP.

. . . and I like your train shot . . . reminds me of the Twilight Zone :)

The train shot is very interesting. The portrait is very nice, you really made her eyes pop.

Work day, piano with person pic. She was very happy with her new (90 years old) Steinway "M". Playing it made her smile. ;)

Really interesting "lensbaby" shots. I always wondered what they were for. Nice effect!
