Thanks Chris. It's like my yoga exercise. Hand held macro when it's windy outside takes a lot of concentration. And, more than 20-30 shots to get one in focus and not blurred. I try to get my aperture around f8 and then the shutter is slow so any motion shows like crazy. Thank God for digital sharpening to save some of these.

I put the Macro lens away. I was not getting any in sharp focus, even with a tripod (mirror movement/shutter, something). I will try it again sometime down the road. Your shots have been spectacular; very impressive.

Well, this is my challenge today: Getting 6 pianos in tune for a concert tonight and another tomorrow.

Piano bass strings with the 55 @1.2 does have a certain effect that I hadn't seen in a while from a lens. I only had iPhoto to work with so haven't finish all my usual adjustments.

PS. e4? Are you using the "Ruy Lopez" opening? (watch out for Black's possible counter with the Sicilian Defense! :)) Good luck with your game!!

I have found that the Redneck Offense beats the Sicilian Defense every time.
