Thanks Chris. I posted to my gallery. briefly, iso 200, 6 seconds at F 13 with the D700, Tamron 28-200. I changed my location for these at the last minute and had brought only my 17-35 and the Tamron. Would I have known, I would have brought my 70-200 2.8… But at F 13, I'm not so sure there would have been that much difference. I guess I'll never know.

Two from today. First the freshly clipped Lama that I met on the road to the next picture.
This customer has 2 grand pianos in a very tiny studio (actually a shed). It's so cramped that I don't even have enough room to take the actions out for service… Go figure.
This one I did yesterday and submitted to the shadow challenge. Kind of came out strange straight out of the Photomatix. Done with only 2 exposures, it looks like the wires are holding some fabric over. I flipped when I saw it.

I think that you may need to clean your sensor. I am seeing 7 or 8 spots.

Thanks Pete, I saw the spots too but thought they were some kind of Photomatix artifacts. As much as I looked at the originals, I can't see the darn spots… I'll give the sensor a little cleaning just the same. One can never be too clean.

Last night's clouds were just spectacular. No need to use effects beside a little saturation and contrast adjustments. We then had lightning that were like non-stop for about 3 hrs. Summer storms are in.
