My card was just billed $481 including the shipping! Would have been $915 had I bought it in the US with tax. This thread saved me $434.00!!!!! :)

So as your Personal Shopper shouldn't I be expecting a Finder's Fee?

So how are you guys liking the V2 over the V1?

It is. . . different but strangely the same. I think I slightly prefer the feel of the V1/Fotodiox over the V2. The V2 feels "light" in my hands. I prefer the controls on the V2.

Couple things I forgot to mention. First is that the lens mount was more "centered" on the V1. The V2 is slightly off center.

The pop-up flash vignettes with the 1 Nikkor VR 10-100mm f/4-5.6. I wound up using my SB-5N at my stepson's graduation. The combo works well - example below with a proud grandmother.

The design of the GPS and SB-5N include a notch or curve around what would be the prism area of the V1. The curve is not needed on the V2 (and I assume the V3) and looks a bit odd.

I took a video with the 10-100mm f/4-5.6 at the graduation. It worked very well and I received a lot of compliments from the family. Of course I noticed a couple areas where having the PD Zoom might have made a difference.

First setting to change is Image Review. One of the biggest complaints about the V1 is that there is no way to turn this off.

I love being able to turn image review off. Enjoying the V2, like the V1 I wish it had a tilting screen. Maybe in 3 years I'll buy a discount used V3.

Thanks for the tips! Mine arrived today! I'm very pleased and impressed! I love the EVF and grip! Huge improvement over the J3. Unfortunately, had to go back to work on an emergency so I had little time to shoot. I did get the firmware updated on the camera and f1 adapter. I'll get some shots posted tomorrow with the 70-200 f4 mounted.

Also, very pleased with Henry's! Very well packaged and arrived on time. I took a quick shot and uploaded to myshuttercount.com and was very pleased to see #1 :)

Darn I knew I was forgetting something! That f1 adapter so I could use my 105mm micro on some bugs!
I'll have to put it on my list to get when I have the money! :)

Well I was stupid! I had the chance to buy the Ft1 adapter at $150.00 and chose to buy my 18.5mm lens instead. I guess I never realized that that was a great deal on that adapter, that would have saved me nearly about $100.00, so yep that proves it. I'm as dumb as a rock! :(

I did find a third party version, I'm very tempted to buy since it's less than $50.00 counting shipping. But I'm always worried about third party stuff not working right, and then I'd be out $50.00 and still need an adapter that cost around $240.00 + shipping and it seems to be on back order. Sigh........ Yep I'm stupid..........

Well on a side note to make me feel better, I did do good buying the V1 in the first place from my buddy Eduard! So maybe I'm not a total idiot, just a part time one maybe. Lol :)

Keep an eye out for used FT1 adapters. With people buying the 70-300cx I think you will see more Ft1's on the market. Don't beat yourself up Bill the 18.5 F1.8 is a lens you'll love.
