Lol Well I ran into a delema, but though it is frustrating it is a bit funny to me!lol As I posted earlier, I traded for three game machines! A Xbox 360, a PlayStation 2 and a Wii! Well until I get moved so I can arrange things better, I can only hook up one game machine and packed the others up! This is where it is sorta funny, picking the machine to keep out! Frankly I really like the Xbox 360 controllers an one game is interesting, the Wii has several interesting games but not as great controllers, the PlayStation 2 has one great game I had before on my playstation1 with pretty good controllers but they are wired limiting where the machine can be while sitting in my chair!
So instead of picking lots of games with ok controllers of the Wii, and not the great game with wired controllers of the Playstation2, I picked the Xbox 360 with the best controllers and one interesting game!lol :D
So here I sit thinking, that maybe I can figure out how to hook up all the game machines! Lol :D

But I won't because that would be silly when I will be moving in just a few days, starting on May 3rd!

PS they are all great machines and the Xbox 360 might be my favorite if I had more great games for it. But once I move I don't need to, and can enjoy them all!lol :D

I am just thinking I might have been smarter to leave the Wii out, with all those games, and packed up the Xbox instead!lol :p

As was advised I needed to watch not to get rid of things I might wish I had kept later. I am doing my best, and things I know I won't want, I have been able to trade or sell. Though some of this depends on being paid in a way over time, like Pepsi for about a year starting next month. This is requiring a lot of trust, and I am hoping I won't end up being sorry I trusted him.
I am hoping to be paid over time for other items I sold him for his reselling at a profit. I still really need to get money saved up for car tags and taxes, and renewal of my driver's license. If someone buys the photography gear I listed here, then that will bring me very close to what I should need to cover the costs.

I just realized that I will start my moving into my apartment in three days! I'm both excited and a little scared in a way. If my wife is watching over me, I hope she will be able to follow my move to continue watching over me.

I need to figure out what needs to be moved and when, needing to sleep where my most prized things are. So I figure if possible I will move my bed and camera gear on the same day, and start living there from then on. The bed needs to be taken appart deflating the mattress and regulator, and move the pieces one at a time to my truck. Hospital beds are fairly heavy and too heavy to move without taking it all appart.

I have decided to move the boxes into the spare bedroom until they can be unpacked and put away.:) Then the spare bedroom will become my studio, with all the studio gear I bought for it, and a bench I found that can be put under the backdrop as a seat and or display table maybe.

Hope everything turns out for the best Bill. Just try to take it easy and only one day at a time.

Life has a way to give you what you need, not necessarily what you want.

Today as I get closer to renting this apartment, I worry what is expected from a renter. And I also worry about what to expect from the landlord.
Having never rented before I guess I should have asked somebody before now, since I don't really have the choice of changing my mind.lol :) But on my income, choices were few and I have been homeless and decided during my 3 years of living in the mountains that it wouldn't be my choice if I could possibly avoid it.

I rented a few places while living in New Jersey. Pay your rent on time, be considerate of your neighbors (especially when it comes to noise), and keep the place clean. If you wind up with any bug problems, be sure to let them know. One renter family in my complex was Hindu, and they revered cockroaches (meaning they will feed them and not kill them). That posed a problem for the woman who lived right next door (which fortunately wasn't me). I can't think of anything else. Just relax. It will be a new experience for you, and just like most of us, that can bring on worries. You have some people there who will help you with your move. Take it one day at a time, Bill. You will get through this! :encouragement:

Lol Thank you Cindy my friend. So I should expect regular visits from the management company, checking on the cleanliness?
It looks like it might be raining the next few days/week, but I still plan to get some stuff moved even if it's rainy. I am determined to start this change with a positive frame of mind, There are some upgrades in this move, when it comes to staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter having a heat pump is a pretty big energy saver. Also smaller will be easier to keep clean, and feel cozy maybe. Since I spend a lot of time at home, I do intend to do my best to arrange things so I am as comfortable as possible without over crowding the place.

Well anyway, I will keep your advice in mind. One advantage I have is I tend to be a pretty quiet person, and I doubt I'll make enough noise to bother the other renter of the duplex.:)

I rented many apartments. My experience is that management tends to stay out of the apartment. However, when you sign your lease, ask any questions so you are clear. The apartment manager will usually fill you in on what is expected.

As Dawg Pics said, management doesn't go into your apartment unless something needs fixing--and generally with your permission. But it is always good to keep it clean for when they do. Good luck moving! It will be a big change--think of it as a new chapter in your life. :)

You probably have some butterflies buzzing around in your stomach! Changes in life are always nervous, exciting, etc. But finally, it is really happening.....good for you. The move will keep you busy for a little while......busy is just what the doctor ordered. Good luck, and get those fragile objects wrapped up LOL!!!! Hope you have some good neighbors too!
