Knowing me, I might wake up before it went off to avoid hearing it! Lol I do have that worry about shutting the alarm off in the morning before it goes off, then drifting back to sleep! Lol ;)

I've got this great alarm clock called a "Screaming Meanie" ...

I've slept through the Screaming Meanie once or twice, but it was after some very exhausting motorcycle riding when I needed the sleep to recover. People in the hotel rooms next to me though ... they didn't sleep through it as easily. :D

Move the clock across the room so you have to get out of bed to shut it off. ;)

I know this is a good idea. But last time I did it, I stubbed toes, ran into things, and tripped over other things in my rush to turn that terrible noise off!lol :)

I was awake, but in a really rotten mood!lol ;)

Did I mention I am blind as a bat without my glasses?lol ;)

Well today I used money from a refund check to buy 3 cheap games. 1 for my PlayStation 2, TombRaider (the first one made for the first PlayStation) and the other 2 for my Wii. Another TombRaider that I haven't tried and a Zelda game I haven't tried. I figured I can't have a Nintendo without a Zelda game!lol :)

I'm hoping having these game machines(both older models) with some games, and even buying a cheap game when possible, will help keep my mind occupied when I have nothing else interesting to think about.
When I was younger I would be more interested in newer game machines and higher tech games. But I figure this way there are tons of cheap but good games I can collect as I can, giving me much greater variety at cheap affordable prices. Besides they will be new to me, even if they are old to others.:)

Today I also learned how to connect my Wii to the secured wifi I have, and I hope to continue learning how to get more out of my Wii! This is both new and cool to me, and seems like it may have possibilities besides just games!:)

Now I am deciding which method I will use to see that I'm up in time to get to my group therapy. Option one, trying to get to sleep earlier which may or may not work, and setting my alarm. Or just stay up all night to be sure I will be awake and ready when I need to go.

Hey I made it to group on time, though it wasn't much of a group with just one other group member there besides me.lol :)
Well it went OK and I have another month before the next one.:)

Ok after group, I did something that set off more grieving for the loss of my beloved wife. Not wanting my wife's collection of tiny tea cups to go to the scavengers who will pick this house clean for sellable items, I gave them to my neighbor Matt's young wife who I knew would appreciate and pass them on to her daughter when she grows up.

This set off my grief, and so my day has been a lot harder than I expected. I can't keep all or even a large portion of my wife's treasures, and some things have a lot of emotional memories attached to them of love. Leaving this house filled with memories of my wife is going to very hard and filled with grief of my losing my love.

As it is I'm worried about over filling my new smallish apartment with memory filled things that I can't stand to part with. But I will figure that out when I have to I guess. I'm starting to wish I had this move over and done with already, as I can now see hard this move will be, both physically and emotionally.

Well I just thought I would share with you, my dear friends, what my day has been like today. I am still surviving my friends.:)

I have a delema that I could use some advice on today. I am trying to save money to pay my truck tags and taxes along with my license renewal, as you all know. Well I am running into needs for money for other things too now, and I am unsure how to go about funding these needs. Good twin sheets that will last without balling up for at least 3 years is one more emediate need. Glare resistant bifocal glasses, hopefully before I need to do the license renewal eye test.
Other things like curtains for the appartment are being delt with by taking my good Queen sheets to use for curtains.

But these things are needed, but I'm reluctant to spend what money I saved on sheets, and I don't even have the money needed for glasses. No my Medicare and Medicaid doesn't cover eye exams and glasses.

Any ideas would be appreciated, though I'm not sure the glasses are a solvable issue right now.:(

Bill, if you know your eye rx, take a look at Zenni optical. zennioptical.com Really cheap eyeglasses direct from China. Takes about 2 weeks for bifocals. $30-$40 if you dont get too fancy on the frames. You dont need a legitimate rx, you just need to know your numbers. So you could use a several year old prescription if you know it still works for you. You need to measure the distance between your pupils, that is not normally written on the script. Try to get a real eye exam though, its not good to go too long without an exam.

As for generating and saving money, I don't know. But if you want to be sure you eat, buy a gift card for the supermarket each month and a gas card. That way you won't be tempted to spend food or transportation money on other things. Make sure the supermarket does not sell camera equipment!!!

Well anxiety is becoming more and more of an issue even at home lately. I'm guessing it is that I'm getting closer to moving, and I'm afraid of leaving things filled with my memories of my wife I think. Or maybe I'm afraid I might miss taking something leaving myself filled with regret later. I have a history of having to lose things when I move. This is the first time that I'll be able to take more things with me, and I'm afraid of missing something important and taking things less important instead by accident.

Man I wish this would hurry up so I can get it over with. I am depending a lot on being able to take the time needed to get moved this time(a very new experience for me), hoping this will help keep me from leaving things I need to take with me.

Of course the other worry is not having the room so that I will have to leave things I wanted to save. I am trying to take the best furniture that I can fit in my new apartment, including appliances!

I guess I can't help stressing, and hopefully getting moved will help relieve some of the stress. The tight budget will be stressful enough, and I better start cooking on the cheap, because I got three years to go before the budget eases up a bit.:(

I would like to pack some more stuff up, but there are 2 reasons I should wait. First I will clog up the walk ways if I keep boxing things down stairs. Second I better move some stuff to the apartment to make sure I don't pack up too much stuff for such a small apartment.

With the small kitchen I better pick just the best stuff for the new kitchen, leaving behind the bulk of pots and pans. But I will keep my kitchen aid small appliances and a few other helpful appliances, as they are worth the space they take up.

Sorry for rambling my friends.

Bill,

I know you can't take everything with you to your new apartment, but have you thought about taking pictures of the special items? That way even if you don''t have the physical item, you could at least look at your picture and it will bring back all the good memories associated with it!

Good Luck!

If you are leaving a enough stuff behind then you can contact an estate sale company to run a sale for you. You can make some spending money, and they do all the work. The items remain in the house for the sale. Better to make some bucks than leave items behind.

I can't do that because it belongs to my wife's estate, and goes along with the house to pay my wife's debts. The best I can do is take what I can with me claiming it belongs to me, leaving things behind counting as belonging to my wife.

That is how it will have to be. But thank you for the idea my friend.:)

Why don't you ask the people who were in your wedding if they would store a few boxes for 6 months? At that time, if you don't have room to take them, then sell them.
