....Thank you so much for the kind words!Nice one, Paul! When I saw the photo, I thought for sure it was taken with a wide angle lens. Definitely surprised to see it taken with a 70mm. Great image--I love water shots, especially beach scenes.![]()
She's holding a nozzle for compressed air, actually. The air is used for a couple things I know of: one, it can keep smoke out the handlers face (they prefer that from what I've picked up) and two, see how much mass there is at the farthest end of the punty (that's the steel pipe the glass is attached to)? By blowing cool air near the neck of the form that area is selectively cooled off, and cooler glass is stiffer, providing more support and helping control the motion of the form while it's being worked on.Paul, the lady with the red glasses, is that a hose she is holding, "just in case"?
