why the tape on the eye piece Jake, was it coming off? I am just ordering a new one for mine, some of the rubber broke away, I found it tight to remove it? Like your DIY QR system.

Made it through a month. Shot lots of challenge related stuff this weekend but I don't know what I'm using yet so this is what I can post.

February 1 (and 1/31 leftovers)

As the weather warmed here in NJ my wife expressed her inner Calvin yesterday, and nature took its course over night.

Not as impressive when reduced to 1000px, but I was messing with the 28mm tonight. Here's a 12 image 4x3 frame pano. Some artifacts around the trees I should clean up, but...

We were told the rain was going to wash all our snow away, so I contemplated setting up a time lapse to watch it go. Glad I didn't waste my time. As the sun was setting the rain on the snow did make for about 30 minutes of very dense ground fog that settled top to bottom instead of lifting. I would have loved to have walked in the field behind the yard as it did but there was a 18" deep puddle keeping me from doing it. I did manage to capture this from my office as the top of the fog allowed for a clear view across the field but no visibility in it (that white is not snow, it would normally be white spots among trees and shrubs). 4 image pano with the new Lr stitching that has boundary warp - it works nicely.

Good to see your D610 getting a little action. ;)

I always have two cameras out with different lenses on them. Almost always the D750 has the 24-120mm, and then it's the D7100 (w/ 70-200mm) or the D610 with whatever. Lately the skies have me wanting the 16-35mm at arm's length so it's getting grabbed.

A good chunk of my photos yesterday were taken without a lens on the camera, but I did manage this one as I was taking out the trash. About 10 feet of Vole tracks emerged as the snow melted. Neighbor's cats better get busy.

Lest anyone think I'm dead, I do have a backlog of shots to post, some of which are entered in challenges or may be. I'll get some stuff up ASAP. Consider me out of the running for the $50 as I spent most of Friday through last night experiencing the wonders of do-it-yourself IT with my work laptop - one of the drawbacks of a pure Work At Home environment.

Ugh. We have those critters. Our little dog LOVES squeaky toys and must have mistaken one of the voles for a toy one day. ;)
