Great job on the trains Ted. Last time we were there, they were in need of a lot of work. Looks like fresh paint.

First stop was Lynn University in Boca Raton. The last 2012 Presidential Debate was held here. It kinda made sense since the university is known for its mortuary program.

A few years ago, after the terrible earthquake in Haiti, some students and faculty from Lynn went to Haiti to help with the relief programs. While 6 of these volunteers were in their hotel, another quake hit and the hotel collapsed, burying and killing those 6 students and faculty members. Lynn University erected a memorial to those folks in the form of a fountain. It is a very nice tribute to these selfless people who died in the service of others.

Yes, it is my new 16-35 on my D800.

And, actually, that's what appeals to me. It's not something you just look at and look away. You have to spend a moment to get yourself oriented.

Checking out my 60mm f/2.8 when a neighbor came by with a plumbing problem. I was thinking about getting an 85mm f/1.8. I think I'll just keep the 60.

While I was at the docks, the Helen S was coming in. The Helen S is a popular drift-fishing boat. The first time I went out on her was almost 40 years ago.
