Perhaps...I've never tried removing things before. When time allows I may give it a try and see what happens.

I love the way you captured his expression, so tack clear, I just took some photos of Prairie Dogs and they are not near the colors yours are, the ones in Texas State Park were just brown. Yours are so colorful.

They are cute little rascals. Some of them are really different in their coloration. I snapped several and each one was identifably different.
