Sony has "re-adjusted" those unbelieveable prices. Now, let's see what they do for the folks that purchased cameras before the change.

PS.... IF you guys do get the camera for $199, I'm going to figure out a way to contort myself so I can kick me in the ass.

This is what the screen shot looked like when I placed my order:

@carguy and @TedG954 @hark

I just received an e-mail from Sony summarizing my purchase and thanking me for doing business with them. It looks official and looks like I scored so far. I'm definitely saving the e-mail. I read where the people who were getting cancelled were the ones who bought off Amazon.com's site. I might have got lucky.

I hope so! Good Luck!

There have been people that have ordered off the Sony website (including me) that have received messages from Sony about the order being cancelled. I have not yet my cancellation. I know I won't score on this, but hey, the thought of it was fun. :) That would have bought me a new Nikon D750. :)

Well, perhaps those of you who already had a Sony account were lucky you didn't give away your credit card numbers with the authorizations confirmation, but can you imagine how many innocent people did give away their infos to I don't know who... Maybe we'll find out later but for me I'll just stick to my basic way of buying. If it looks too good to be true, I'll just run away. Unless buying from a brick and mortar store, I'll just plain avoid these phishing traps.

So far, so good! I also ordered the 2 year warranty for $19.99 that covers damages for 2 years. That might have thrown Sony's attempt at zeroing in on those who just ordered within a specific price range off of my trail. I'll let you know when I get my backordered A7r. lol

I am really hoping you get the camera. This is like when someone you know wins the lottery! (not that I've ever known someone that won the lottery) OK. This is like when a friend of yours goes to the casino and wins big bucks on a slot machine. Yeah. That's it. Fingers crossed.

So, if you don't call, it has a better chance of going through and shipping? lol:) It's always good to have hope ;)
I think his chances of the order being flagged for cancellation only increase by bringing it to the attention of a CS representative.

Granted the chances of the order slipping through the system and actually shipping are slim as it stands but, why make them zero?
