Jake I absolutely love your work.
This is one of the best threads i have come across and ... well… and … and … and.
I am so inspired I am going to go shove my camera in faces and say it is all your fault if anyone complains.

beautiful shots....love the kid on the bike....the blur (did you pan the shot)?

Yes, they're panned. He was just booking around that part of the circle when I got there, and my first shot froze him a little too much, so I put it in Shutter Priority, stuck it at 1/60 and started following him. It's actually more a scooter that you sit on than a bike, and with his legs flying it was great to watch.

 More excellent images--and quite interesting especially since I am not into street photography!

Now for one complaint :grief: .... Your vertical shots are WAY too small in their display size. What's up with that?

Bigger please! ;)

They're all sized 1000px on the long side. If they're appearing too small then it's a forum thing with your browser, not something I've done. In my browser the verticals actually display at almost twice the size of the horizontals - at least within the thread. If you're clicking on them then the verticals will be resized to fit your browser window top to bottom, so they will be "smaller".

I can't get a better print screen image than this. I'm using Google Chrome. All your vertical shots lately display this way. :( The top shot is horizontal, and the lower shot is a vertical image.

With Bethlehem Musikfest this week we only ran in and out today to get some veggies. I shot these in about 10 minutes. Only tossed about 4 shots, so selection was very liberal today.

Jake, your images have so much personality! I look forward to them each week. The stories your subjects could tell. Just by looking at the images, I know they have a lot to say. Did anybody object to your shooting? I hope not! By the way, I printed some pictures of our family portraits i took and will send them back to Syracuse as the 'professional' never did come over to my MIL's for them to see and choose! Hope they like the ones I am sending.

I really like these last series of shots. Makes me want to try it out myself even though I'm not big on shooting people.
Will be in New Orleans next week, and it might be the perfect opportunity.

No one has objected to me shooting. Occasionally I get someone who asks who I'm shooting for, and when they do I hand them a card and tell them I'm essentially doing a photo essay on the market. No one has really said much after that. I am very conscious of shooting kids, and will make sure parents are either with them, or I ask them if they mind.
