LOL nikonpup he's a tiny but hormonal teenager surrounded by girls which I think is even more intoxicating haha Pint sized raging hormone thought to check out the mare as she laid in the hay and I had snatch him up and put him in a stall because my big grey gelding had every intention of stomping him into the ground, maybe he needs some weed so he'll calm down haha no worries about him feeling the cold today :)

Thanx Lawrence I don't know about stunning but your comments are appreciated :)

Don he looks miserable because he made the mistake of getting spooked a few nights ago (pair of bobcats hanging around) while I was feeding. Ever been kicked by a 1300lb horse? It sucks! flew about 8ft and landed on hard packed icy ground and one very huge hoof print on my thigh. I do natural horsemanship so he and I have been playing games and working extra hard on trust and manners the last few days.... If he is allowed up in the front yard he can be often found looking in the doors or windows for treats though haha
Looks pretty miserable though :)

Can you see photos Don? I just see blue question marks :( Yes hands work but it would be nice to find my other glove cause I was chilly without gloves!!! I did forget my 12-24mm lens in the truck last night and it was covered in frost this morning so I had fun cleaning frost off it without scratching lens

Day #38
Sun rising
NIK_2933.jpg

Morning commute (since its been so cold there is no moisture in the air so vehicles, people, drain vents everything produces steam and made for a interesting and blinding morning commute as the sun tried to come up)
I left these as shot because any attempts I made lost the weird colour and glow which I found interesting

Forget the pictures just open the gate already

It's the same look I get from all my family when I have my camera :)

Day #39
Ice cubes- Last night I got balloons and food colour for this attempt. I used hot water wanting to speed up the freezing process but I'm thinking it was too fast?? I filled them all by 7:30pm, placed them on my front step and by 10pm they were solid ice. I didn't remove balloons until this morning but they were all cracked. I had hoped it would warm up a bit and allow the ice to be a little shiny but it was too cold and stayed dull all day even in the full sun.
Colour in my white yard

Thought the dye mixing and freezing patterns interesting
NIK_3088.jpg

The sun behind me gave much better colour but line up didn't work out so well. We haven't had new snow in a couple of weeks so find untrampled white snow isn't easy :)
NIK_3089.jpg

Supposed to warm up so we'll see how long they last

Magpies this morning

Great idea about the colored ice. Now when it melts you will have some color in your yard
