Seems back to good on Chrome on my Mac in the UK in my sitting room on my sofa in slippers and with a nice drink to hand. YMMV.

Yesterday, from 4pm to 10:30 pm, I got the can't find server message. It's a little deceiving since I can't even report it when it happens. Seems like in the afternoon and at night is when this happens. Thing is I hope this won't be a regular thing.

That's very strange - the site definitely wasn't down during those times.

I know, but I feel so helpless... I don't know if maybe my ISP could be blocked by the new server... or if it could be something wrong with my ISP. All other websites load normally and it's just Nikonites that bugs like this. This morning it was just fine without me changing anything at my end. Is there anyway you could check if my request are denied or something?
Sorry to be the trouble, but there seems I can't do much when that happens.

@Marcel , do you have a router and/or modem? A few years back I could not connect to home depot for 2 days. I thought that very odd for a major website. It was the only site I was having trouble with. I reset router and modem and it worked fine.

I tried it and it changed nothing. Plus, when I tried to connect from Line's house (different router and modem) yesterday, I got the same "can't find server".
This is what I got with Chrome yesterday afternoon:

I would call your isp and say that one website you visit cannot be accessed since they moved to a new server. Its been days and you still cannot get there and you know the website is working. The first level tech support guys might not believe you and will lead you on a goose chase to troubleshoot your computer. You might need to tell them it happens on all of your computers and your neighbor's computer. Maybe they will bump you up to the smart guys that can flush their cache out for you. If they can't clear it up, I would look into trying alternate dns servers on your computer and see if that helps. Its not hard if you are comfortable with that stuff. Just search for 'how to use google dns' or 'how to use open dns'. I've used both google and open dns servers. They claim to be faster, but they worked about the same for me so I went back to verizon dns servers.

What makes it harder to chase is that it's working fine at times and not working other times... I've cleared the DNS cache at my end without result. I don't know if they could do more...

I did call my ISP and they said they had no problem connection today. Same with me. So, I'll have to call them again if/when I can't connect and they'll try. So maybe we can figure out where the connection does stop. I suspect the new server might be not so friendly to my ISP at times...

I am having the same trouble as Marcel on my home computer (mac). I havent been able to access the forum for 2 days, every other website is working fine.

I am having no trouble on my work computers running windows.
It has been annoying, because while I can view the forum at work, any photos need to be uploaded from home.

The only thing I haven't tried is try with my window computer whenever the other doesn't work. Just to see if it could be my OS instead of my ISP that is "persona non grata" to the new server.

I have a Samsung tablet at home that will connecr by wifi, I will try that tonight. I dont normally use it because of the small screen, my poor eyesight and fat fingers, not a good combination.:(

I'm just hoping this was a temporary situation that will resolve by itself. Talk about the magic thought... :)

Have you tried clearing your cache or using a different browser? I have a feeling something is getting hung up and your computer is looking for the old server.

Now the Log In field doesn't remember my password. Its like the Java Script is messed up on this forum.

Did you previously log in at "www.nikonites.com" vs "nikonites.com"? This shouldn't happen anymore. Try clearing cookies and make sure the 'remember me' box is checked.

I tried using google chrome on my mac last night, still no good.
I thought the address that I had been using may have changed so I also tried doing a google search of Nikonites, and clicking on the various links to try and get in that way, no luck there also.

I log in from the same book mark page I have had since the new server move. I also checked the "Remember Me" box at each log in.

I also just got logged off a few minutes ago in mid post and had to log in again. That has never happened. When I tried to log in at that point it again would not remember my pass word.

Also here happened I think the same time. Around 07.20 a.m. Thai-time.
