I will be interested to hear what you think of it Scott.

Been thinking about buying an ND filter for a while now, but holding off until I am sure what lenses it will have to fit.

I was hesitant at getting an adjustable variable but at $149 for a 77mm variable ND filter I thought bugger it why not. Spent a bit today lol

Yeah, have heard mixed reports on the variable ND's. If it gives you the results it will be worth it.

I have one, and since buying a circular ND400 I never use it. I rarely used it on anything less than the darkest anyway. I bought it because it was cheaper than the straight ND400.
@scott & @Lawrence....You have to be careful not to take it to it's extremes either way or you will get dark banding across your shot. Also don't forget to cover the eyepiece on long exposures

@Lawrence I thought about some advice I gave you and I changed my diopter back -2, and yep I still get an out of focus eye every now and then but it is closer. I also have upped my F stop to something like f64 which does seem to work but you need a lot of light.

Well just got back from an impromptu camping trip with a mate and his girlfriend and a couple from Germany.

This is the first night camping it was a great night with a few beers and laughs.
