Some macro shots this afternoon, I left it a bit late and the sun was low.

Very small Green jumping spider, handheld with 90mm macro. I think I need an extension tube or two and a Raynox adaptor.

I am using an LED ring light and then had to include the onboard flash as I was struggling with light. Even bumped up the ISO quite high.

They look to be lit very nicely. Thats something my pics have been lacking, I have been using the onboard flash sometimes when there isnt enough light, but it causes me problems with the top of the lens casting a shadow.
To make it work I have to refrain from focusing in too close, and then cropping in PP , but thats not ideal.

This is something similar to what I am using... But mine is not as flash as this one...

Here is an uncropped and cropped version of a very very very very very small spider capturing an ant... Photo is not great but considering I first thought it was some pollen stuck on a web I think its pretty good.

Here is a colourful fly that was on a leaf in the backyard, again being windy has hampered my quest to get sharper images and this was the last one before he decided to "fly" away

Looks like you've got the dreaded windy macro curse too Scott.
I'm sure there is not a breath of wind until I walk outside with my camera and macro lens

Caught in mid air - Actually this was a lucky shot as everytime I triggered the flash he would tae flight, this is the best I managed.

Hey, thats the same Green Jitterbug that I am having trouble getting a good shot of.
Out of about 300 shots, I have got about 5 that I have kept.
I cant believe how quick they are.

It happens to me often. I thought it was just me. Glad to know others have been equally as cursed. :)

Here are some more bug shots, you may get sick of them as I just found out my car is going to cost me $6K to get fixed...
