Their nose is so tiny, since I'm used to seeing gators.

Where have you been??

Hmmmm I could have sworn I replied to this.

I have been working and relaxing on my days off. Trying to conserve my money for my African trip which is only 109 days away.

This is my first attempt at solar photography, I used my D800, 80 - 400mm VR lens, Ha Filter and Bader Solar film.

I would like to re-do that tree one and use a tri-pod this time and not handhold it. But the tide was rushing in and there are snapping handbags in that water (AKA Crocodiles)...

Ok we organised a Photowalk this morning for sunrise at a billabong, even though the sun failed to shine and the rain hammered down we still managed a few shots.

But after a few hrs the girls decided to call it a day and we decided to venture further and see what other hidden treasures lay around the area. We drove around some billabongs and found some awesome spots for sunrise and sunset.

We then decided to venture to the other side of the gazetted road and we again found some amazing sights.
One thing we did find was some soft boggy water, my mate decided he would venture and check it out in his Land Rover, well lets say I noticed him sitting on a weird angle and I proceeded to drive down to help him. He was bogged and not going anywhere.... WELL I got out and started running the winch rope out to him, he got out of his fourby and decided to help, this resulted in him slipping in the wet slippery mud and sustaining a distal fracture to his left radial bone. Well we splinted it up and drove him to the hospital..

Here are some photos of the day, including the hospital x-ray :)

Nice shots! Hope your friend wasn't going to Africa with you and I hope he's up and about real soon.

Will be around 6 weeks before he looks like getting the cast off, and luckily he isn't coming to Africa and luckily it wasn't me. Although I had suitable footwear and never lacked traction lol. Told him to throw those crappy shoes out.

Thought I had better start adding my photos back into this thread instead of creating new ones.

This photo is taken from my back yard, I back on to a golf course :)
