Nice shot of the moon Scott. In the first one you look a bit tense! :)
Did you use a wide-angle for the moon shot?
I would have thought that would require a huge crop … but then what do I know as I learn so much everyday?

Hey Lawrence I used the 16mm handheld for the moon shot on the D600. There is no cropping thats full frame.

Well I went out this morning to photograph my finches but they have decided that 1 photo for the week is enough, so here are a few other photos from my walk.

This is the path that leads to and from my place.

Confuses me even more … possibly because I have no idea how the D600 works. So much to learn so little time.

But moving on ...

Only an artist can make a good story using photos when the subject isn't available.

What is confusing about it?

Fantastic Lightning shots!!!

Thanks, I actually missed out on a BIG storm the other day, so I will be definitely watching the radar to see any approaching storms today.

Well I decided to go for a 'short' drive 250km's return. I was hoping there would be not many people at the swimming holes in Litchfield National Park, but for a Monday I was surprised.

This is Buley Rock hole, a very popular swimming spot. Oneday I will get a photo with no people.

Here are a few different shots of Wangi Falls.

Nice photos.
Obviously no crocs in those swimming holes.
Loved the shots of 38. She looks regal. Interesting name for a cat - may we ask how she came by it?

Cheers, not sure how they got the name 38 but it suits her.

Really like the waterfall shots Scott.

Thanks, I am hoping to get more next week.

nice shots of the pool and falls. glad the guy had his shorts on. :) took awhile to see the other bodies.

Haha yes so was I, I am always cautious of photographing people as you can get into strife.
