another month in the books, once we get Sept over we will be in the home straight, weather cooling down, shorter days and the winter birds will be starting to show up.

one from early morning, wanted to get the sun rise but my wife wasnt answering her wake up call and i had to go home to make sure the kids were up and ready for school.

seeing as it cooled down to 100F, Ryan and i took a walk to Lake Elsinore, a few bottles of water in my bag to quench the thirst. Spotted the Turkey Vultures soaring overhead.

i hope i didnt mix these up, a Semipalmated Sandpiper, spent a while trying to ID these, the Semi has black legs, Least yellow/green.

i drove by where the Burrowing owls hang out, this one was low down and i had to shoot him thru the wire fence, they usually sit on the top rocks.

LOL, i am only a step in front of you then Don, some of the guys know their stuff when it comes to ID. Hats of to them, i try but usually get it wrong, the juvi ones are the hardest, they dont show many pics of them in the books/apps.

Think i need to change my Semipalmated to a Western Sandpiper as per @wev , it does look like a western the more i look at it.

nothing about today, well at least close enough to get a half decent shot, i miss getting to San Jacinto (closed for a 4 days dove shoot) reopens Monday

i had this guy close but Ryan walked right under him and spooked him further and higher back up the tree.
