Carissa grandiflora, Natal plum. There are many cultivars. The fruit is edible and is used for jellies, pies, jams, etc; all the rest of the plant is poisonous.

I was thinking coco plum. The leaves look the same, but the fruit is a bit rounder.

Still a bit difficult.motherinlaw has agreed to a procedure to ease the pain but while we think its the only way for her we dont think she understands the implications.

She is coping thanks but she has thyroid problems and is diabetic so her energy levels are low.

a beautiful sunny day when I left for Yorba Rec park, got of the freeway and could see clouds coming, that was the end of the sun.

wood duck isn't just as colorful in the shady haze.
