seeing a picture of the male, I spotted one bombing across the lake earlier, man was he shifting, must have been on a speed trail?

I have noticed that Anna's, as opposed to Allen's and rufous, will often do this. I have had them get within inches of my face, so close I can feel the wind off their wings. They stare intently for a few seconds, then fly off. Have to wonder what they make of us.
