always wanted to try this and seeing as i had my tripod why not, first attempt at this.

Was that you? I looked back, but all I could see was the glare in the windshield. Real sorry I missed you, but got a call and had to leave. Looks like you had a much better day than I did. Did you see mom green heron on her nest again?

no missed it, a couple of photogs said it was at the second lake, walked around twice and never saw it. I meant to leave Yorba earlier but lost track of time, next time mate...

She's on the original nest in the first lake/pond. Dad was chasing dragonflies in the second (my pics are of him). Glad you spotted the hummers on the big yucca blooms -- another spotter and I counted 20+ feeding and battling on the four stocks, along with the scarab beetles and orioles. I'm surprised there weren't some mid-air collisions.

And me without my Tam. . . .

Spotted this on the road home tonight, just had to get a closer look........

fire season is well under way. All the rain we got earlier on in the year has dried out into burning material. They had it well down in the 30 mins i saw it.
