we (Ryan) took a walk around the back ponds to see what was about, he wanted to shoot using a tripod, so i carried mine and his and started walking up the path, an American Bittern flew down the path under the trees about 10 feet above us and i was helpless, my mouth was open that much he could have flown in. lol

kites were hunting the fields.

finally spotted the male mountain bluebird

i hope thats a nest she is sitting on, she was there yesterday too?

as soon as the daylight hit her she flew off.
