Amazing Owl shots! What is the trick to get them to sit still while you shoot?

carroll, they are far enough up the tree and i always move slow (maybe just lucky?), he took off as i was looking at the nest shot and i found him about 50 yards further up, i didnt even see him go, i hope to go back up later today for an update, there is a hawks nest across the freeway from this, so i can keep an eye on both at the same time.

some shots at the testing last night,
rebecca (red) sparring with her friend who is testing for her black belt, she (her friend) had her tooth knocked out on her next fight, i tried to have her smile to see it but it didnt work, it was ready to fall out anyway.
