got up early and paid a quick 2 hr visit to lake elsinore, it was dull and overcast (in fact its raining now, well the ground is wet :D) seen what i think is a crayfish?? water is not that clear and a load of little and some larger birds, the water level is well down,

EDIT, according to a Google search the little bird is a Least Sandpiper

a few black necked stilts, a dog chased the heron over to my side of the lake, a wild sunflower, do you think the ants are trying to move the square rock???

Those are called water droplets. A rare phenomenon in Southern California. You can usually get rid of them by placing your camera/lens in a dry environment like the inside of your house, or lightly blow on it with a hair dryer at a low setting.

Don't worry, they are harmless and will even disappear given enough time.
If you happen to go outside and a million of these things appear to fall from the sky, an invention called an umbrella will shield you well enough.

a few bugs from a walk this morning, the lizard was the largest i have seen, easily twice the size of all others i have taken.

slow up when you approach them, lift you camera real slow, if i have Ryan out with me anything in a square mile is running away
