Ok, I am all caught up, back to today, work and reality...

I took a quick look at this... I really agree with the tonal levels... have trouble with the bark... Can you explain more want you meant regarding that?? I was reading it as the overall tone of the image darkened, the bark detail would be lost and I needed to bring it back to life..

I was having trouble doing that in Lightroom... I will wait for your explanation/clarification and then try again... (and of course, then show you!) :)

Hello Pat,

The greatest difficulty in a case like this is to operate adjustments in opposite
directions. Here, trim down the exposure without blocking the bark.

The strategy is to treat it like HDR: create two layers and apply the different
tweaks and flatten again.

This edit of mine can not be good because I worked on a low-res compressed files!
I am sure you results will be far better.

Day 198 - July 17th, 2013....

4th day over 90 deg F... Not even enjoyable to be outside!! :)
Anyway, to todays pictures.... I took the D5100 for a change of pace... (it still does a nice job)

Spotted this abandoned vehicle on my way in to work.... and of course, a product shot

Swamped at work so limited photo's today....

TGIF!! This will be my last 365 set for a few days as I am heading over to Buffalo tomorrow on the motorcycle. I will catch up when I get back next week... In the meantime, the 1st of todays...

This was a test of teh selective color mode of the D7100.. kind of a gimmick but can be useful..
We have wacky shirt friday, wild colors etc... so I played with this:

I ran down to Greeley Park at break... tried some shots of the stone building but did not do good...

I did find a tree wrapping around some poles....

Ok, I just arrived home a bit ago... We left Buffalo approx 7:30am this morning and arrived back in Nashua NH about 5:00pm, went out to dinner and and then arrived home at 6:30... unpacked the bike and now relaxing... I will start catching up my daileys tomorrow..
