Day 351 - December 17th, 2013

Just think... 14 more days to make it to the end of the 365!!! Oh so close now!! :)

Another snow event, made getting out and shooting tough as roads (& traffic) were terrible! Here is what I could gather....

These 3 parts are from a Family tool, all 3 are made from one mold at the same time...

Overmolded Connector.... and contacts molded into plastic

The next 4 shots were near Horseshoe... I could not all the way as the ramp area was not plowed..
The roads were terrible and snow was increasing so I took these and went back to work...

Day 352 - December 18th, 2013

Cold but clear day today... decided to use only a 35mm f1.8 prime for all shots... sometimes fun to do this..

A pallet of parts, ready to ship.. A box of parts in Final inspection for a "sort"

DSC_6201.jpg DSC_6200.jpg

This first shot was parts on the bench at the machine, waiting to be trimmed...
2nd is a finished part taken with a white back in the lab. (this normally would have been a macro)

DSC_6202.jpg DSC_6204.jpg

1st is boat ramp at Horseshoe, 2nd is residential section looking across the pond...

DSC_6207.jpg DSC_6208.jpg

1st is the swamp area of Horseshoe... notice the duck.. I would have grabbed him with a 300mm
2nd is the embankment from the freeway overpass near work.

It was fun and interesting to shoot with only one lens... may do it again tomorrow!! :)

Day 353 - December 19th, 2013

Weather is warming up some... it hit 30 F today! I continued with my One Lens project... Today, all photos are
with my D7100 and a Tokina 12-24 Ultrawide! This was a bit trickier! :)

First couple at work... QC Lab (where I work) and the plant floor....

This is a part I have photographed before, but never with an Ultra Wide! :) And a Panorama down by Horseshoe!

Horseshow Boat ramp (pics before but not UW and a rail in the residential section..

Down by the swamp (same spot as yesterday) and a sunset on my way home...

Thanks Scott... I am on my 3rd day of only using one lens for the day... makes life interesting!!!

Yes but you're using a zoom lens... so it's like having more than one. You'll have to try it with a fixed prime sometimes, or try not to use the zoom :)

Now you have a great day Pat.

I hear you Marcel!! yes, the zoom is like a cheat... but it was so wide and so narrow (12-24) I figured it was almost legal. :p

The 1st day was my 35mm prime and today is my sigma 105 macro (fixed) I am playing fair most of the time!! (and I am learning even with the little cheat)

Happy Friday Marcel, or TGIF as we say down here below the border!

Day 354 - December 20th, 2013

Weather continues to warm up but they are now forecasting an ice event Saturday night.. :(

Today was mild but very grey as we were supposed to be seeing off and on light rain... The Photo's today
were all taken with the D5100 and teh sigma 105 macro. It does not AF on the 5100 so it was a challenge.
I binned several shots for missed focus...

Christmas gift for the girls at work (4 total) ... Tool just out of the press...

I was thinking of trying that next year but my photography is so vast and versatile I do not think I would like the limitations.

That is what makes it a learning experience... visualize in a new light, opens your eyes trying to be creative, force movement... I only do it for a few days.

Day 355 - December 21st, 2013

Today was all with the 55-300 lens.... but all taken at 300mm... Why???
Well, I woke up at 5:30, saw the moon and went outside in slippers and jammies and shot a picture..
Since I have been doing one lens per day, that was it!! :) All photos were taken with d7100 at 300mm

The moon.... and my Ham radio station...

Bird feeder damaged by storms.. cannot get there with 2 feet of snow... (replaced for winter with one on deck)
Cardinal at back of property... kinda noisy so I think he wanted me off the deck!!!

DSC_6265.jpg DSC_6270.jpg

Icicle..... and beer stein.... (son brought it home to me from Germany)

DSC_6276.jpg DSC_6275.jpg

small pine seedling poking up above the snow.....

DSC_6278.jpg

This was the toughest of the 4 I tried... but fun! :)
