Day 179 - June 28th, 2013...
Another rainy and grey day all day! Sure makes for not so bright pictures... I had the Tokina today so did some practicing..
On the way to work, it was gray and damp but not raining... I stopped to shoot this...
While there, I shot a couple more....
This shot was in the plant... and a church on the way home...
The sun came out after I got home and while sitting on the deck, i could see the setting sun
glistening and sparkling of the wet leaves.. It did not come out as well in the photo.
(this was with the D5100 and 55-300)

Cemeteries especially the old ones are some of my favorite places to shoot.

This one has some real old stones etc in it. They are on the entrance road and there are buildings that get in the way as backdrops. I woud have to go in later in teh day and use my 18-105 ... There are some real stories in the old cemeteries (photo that is)

I used to live down the street form a beautiful old cemetery. There was one statue there of an angel holding up a torch. I went everyday for a while till I could track when the sun would be in the right place to shoot the statue when the sun would be directly behind the torch. Took me several months to get the shot but the end results was worth it. I will have to dig out that old B&W and scan it.

Day 180 - June 29th, 2013...
Rain and storms yesterday... drizzle & gray today.. Did not have any real photo photo plans so I shot a few things around the house this morning with my coffee.. We had to get 2 motorcycles up to the mechanics for annual inspection this morning (due by tommorrow an my shop does not so them on Sunday!)
Like my Coffee Cup?? Ok, its not mine, but SHE lets me use it when she is still asleep...
Snuggles (Shih Tzu) and Herbie (Maerican Eskimo)
(Yes, Snuggles needs a haircut)
This flower was taken same time as my coffee...
These 2 shots were later when the sun actually came out!

Day 181 - June 30th, 2013...
It was actually a nice sunny day... Took the gold wing in for some service as the next couple weekends after the 4th I will end up putting about 2500 miles on the bike... Rear Tire and breaks.. Then we took the dogs to the dog park.. (Have not processed those yet)
The dog shots here were on the deck this morning...
Jingles... a Heinz 57 ...
Snuggles and Herbie.....
Herbie resting his chin... and a leaf in reverse this morning at coffee..
I photo'd this of my wife's mother... all she had was a wallet and no info on where they came from (knowing them, likely Walmart) Was able to create an 8x10 that looks presentable for her to frame (her mother passed away 8 days ago and she just returned from Texas)
Off to cook some steaks on the grill!

WalMart Protrait as far as I know was owned and operated by CPI Photo who also owned Sears Portrait and They did own CPI PhotoFinish that bought out Fox Photo. They are all out of business now.

The rest of the day was a photo bust... severe storms and even a tornado warning.. (no touch downs)

Day 185 - July 4th, 2013...
As I have some events to attend today, these were taken early this am with my morning coffee...
A flower... (Brilliant deduction!)
A shadow of a leaf, on a reverse leaf.. I liked this!
My first insect......
A Bluejay... there were several but they would not get out of pines so I could get a shot..
Sunlight breaking in on the front of the house....
Corkscrew.. not for wine, for hooking trees.....
Happy and Safe 4th of July (USA Holiday for Independance Day)
and of course, Have fun Shooting...

Here are some from this morning... on the deck and when I went out to get a haircut..
Two bluejays deep in the trees... and the morning sun rising on a planter...
a pair of flower buckets in the neighborhood.. I like the 2nd best...
Some local flowers at various neighbors...
a local farm....
Off to a picni lunch at the lake..
