You may have mentioned this Pat, but what do you do?

Rick, I do not know if I actually said.. I am the Quality Manager for a Custom Injection Molding Company in NH. Custom, meaning we do not own products or tools but build them and run production for others... approx 60% of our business is medical related.

Looks cold, down in Texas we hardly ever get snow, but we do find a bottle of jack daniels ever once in a while, great images

Thank you... It is cold but surprising is that it is usually in the 27 - 30 deg F range when it snows... Since the snow, temps have dropped further. Yesterday was 0 F when I went to work and I think the high was around 20.. That is NOT as cold as some of our Canadien friends have faced! :)

Interesting. I retired as a Quality Consultant to Canon USA Medical specializing in ISO16485, ISO9001, and the FDA. Previously, I was involved in the world of nutraceuticals. Don't miss it. :stupid:

Congrats on the retired... that is my goal in 2014. Not familiar with 16485 but I have had to specialize in 9001, 13485 (medical Devices) and FDA. I do not plan to miss it either... This is intended to be one of my prime hobbies when I do retire.

Typo on my part. 13485 is correct.

Pat, I wish you well on your up coming retirement in 2014. April 1st I will have completed my 9th year of retirement and April 2nd start my my 10th year. I only have two words for you........ IT'S GREAT!!! The only down side is that you no longer get weekends and Holidays off, they are just another day.

Exactly. And the diagonal at the bottom adds some interest. As does the fence. I might even try cropping out the building on the right just to see the effects.

Ok, Ted had made a suggestion for composition... The original had no crop, no clean up etc.. Just a tone and exposure adjust. I did a crop, adjusted the color a bit and also cleaned out some distracting branches in the foreground. Then as I had discussed earlier, I did a B&W Version... I am pleased but that in me... Ted, Thanks for the suggestion, I think it was a major improvement. All adjustments were done in LR4.

For Reference, this was the original...

This is the cropped & cleaned up version.... (again, Thanks Ted)

and this is my B&W version....

Anyway, that is my conversions. These kind of tips and me going back to try suggestions can only help to
improve my vision and hope that others can share in the education I am getting... Thanks Ted & Nikonites!

Day 5 - Jan 5, 2013

I have 3 today, all taken inside, one of our Cockatiel and a candle and coasters.
The coasters were my youngest brothers who passed a few years back. It had his initials
MGM so I kept them as a remembrance of him...
