Day 65 - March 6th, 2013

Not too good of a photo day... lousy weather and I had very little time... Tried to get a couple decent Industrial shots and 2 of mine were terrible throw aways... (I will maybe try that one again tomorrow). Had a few others that were not worth keeping outside.. so this is what I ended up with...

Hanging a mold inside a 250 Ton molding press...

DSC_4731.jpg

A shot up of a power pole near work...
Don't ask why, just saw the lines of the bracing etc..

Have a great day and enjoy your Nikons!

Pat,

I've stared at power lines a lot and always am thinking about what kind of photo they would make. I understand. :)

Day 67 - March 8th, 2013

Storm hit over night.. had 6" by morning and they predicted 2-4 more... work was hectic (did not even go out at lunch..)

I took a couple industrial shots for my daily... (I also worked on a a couple contest photo's but they are not ready yet..

Left is a part of the mold known as the CORE. It fits inside the CAVITY and the plastic is injected between them to form the part. This one is the inside of a Defibrilator case...

Here is a simple example of Core & cavity! On the right is a CMM Fixture Kit to allow us to fixture parts we need to measure.

Day 69 - March 10th, 2013

Spent most of my time getting my contest entries processed for the monthly Nikonites and the Bi-weekly Famous Media contest (all taken before today)

I did manage a couple shots along with some portrait tests again... (if I had a good mannequin I would not have to subject my wife to all of this!! :)

Here is 2 of the portrait shots....

Bring your long johns! We're expecting low's in the 50's the next few mornings which means about 10 - 15 degrees colder upstate. Actually, that'll probably be a heat wave for you. Have a great mini vacation.

WOW Marilynne. I have the A/C right now.

I said in the morning. It's 70 right now according to my pelican thermometer. I have the ceiling fan on because I just finished cooking. Anyway, you're further south than me so you'll have warmer temps. Pat will be in Jacksonville. It'll be colder.

Marilynne, those ceiling fans can really come in handy to help disperse the smoke after cooking!
