Oh wait... I know what you're talking about now.

Nope, no trains at all. I thought about going to get some pictures, then I saw a video of the derailed train... Pretty boring stuff. Just box cars tipped over on their sides.

Hope no one was hurt.

My husband would go crazy if we had trains running on the edge of our property. He loves watching them.

Nope, nobody hurt. Not even a scratch.

I was driving home from work, listening to the storm's play by play reporting on the radio. You know how they like to talk in circles, as there's really nothing to talk about. "Hey! There's a storm coming!" That would be my report. Anyway, all within 20 seconds they say, "A train got blown off the tracks 20 miles east of Bryan.. blah blah blah That's 20 miles west of Bryan.. blah blah blah That's 3 miles west of Bryan."

Wait... What??

20 miles east of Bryan is my back field.
20 miles west of Bryan is my sister-in-law's town.
Who knows what's 3 miles west of Bryan.

Waited a couple minutes to see if they were going to talk about it again... Nope.

Finally called my daughter, told her to look out back and see if there's a train that fell off the track. Some of these trains carry some really nasty cargo! Turns out it was 3 miles west of Bryan. Nothing out there. It didn't even block any roads.

I have seriously considered putting a webcam out there and charging a monthly fee to watch it. I know there's a ton of people that love to watch trains!

The sun has finally calmed down. However, I can't really tell if it's any better.

Lesson Learned: Never process photos after drinking a whole bottle of Skeeter Pee!

I was going to use this for today's photo, but then I realized it was only 11:58, not 12:58 like I thought it was. So, I'll do something else when I wake up.

Out practicing some long exposures tonight.

Went out to get the Milky Way Cluster, but alas, it's over to the right and burned out by the light pollution from the thriving metropolis of Wauseon.

So here's some stars instead.

Day 198

It's HOT today!

No, really, it's HOT!

I got home and thought all of that cement in my driveway was going to waste!

Day 199

Spent a few days hiking around Oak Openings Nature Preserve. I never did find the sand dunes... Maybe I should pick up a trail map next time.

A creek out in the middle of nowhere.
