Hi Rick - I've never attempted any kind of portraiture shots, I've normally stuck to wildlife, still life, landscapes etc. but this thread has inspired me! I think your shots are absolutely fantastic!!

Sorry I disappeared for a bit there. All is good and to Eye Level there is a color version for all these images from this and last year.

I sold my D5100 to buy a new body about a week ago. So now I need advice. I could get a used D7000 or a new D5200 body for about the same price. Which should I get?

Cool, that explains why we have not seen you... I would probably be looking to get a 7000 but what do I know?? :)

I agree with Eye-Level and Jack. Go with the D7000. I bought one a couple of months ago and absolutely love it.

​I vote for the D7000 too. You'll have more choice of lenses.

Another vote for D7000. Other than the pixel count, the D5200 is barely an upgrade on your D5100 (unless you're planning to move into video).
