Whilst we were out seeking the lions, we took a sharp turn and came across a family of white rhinos. I don't know who was more startled but if it was them - then lucky they weren't black rhinos
White rhinos - the grazers, are the bigger of the two African rhino species and are a lot more docile than their browsing relatives: the aggressive black rhinos which are far less numerous
Soon however, both might be very rare with the sad reality of the current poaching crisis...
I really liked this shot despite having missed my focus and the poor IQ (anything looks good small - I have seen the true image in Lightroom and it is not great). I think that the scene, the poses and the dust work wonders though. Maybe I will reset my settings and try a B&W to be posted later
