Thanks Pat. The 18-200mm came with the D7100. I do like the lens for walkabouts. Hardly use it for birding. Put it on for an outing with friends and haven't switched back to the 55-300mm. It's great for the birds on the boardwalk, but not for those in the back lake. There hasn't been much activity at the wetlands and I did miss a few shots of the stilts and spoonbills.

We were heading elsewhere the day we wound up at the R/C field. I took the shots in post #192 when they were fairly close. The way up shots look like dots.

Ok, I remember that now (lens). Guess it just fell out of my memory banks~
