This is a map of the Fly/No Fly Zones for the R/C field. First time I've seen it.

Some really great photos of R/C stuff. I have to admit when I saw the title on this thread, I thought it was going to be about shooting with Remote Control. It took me two pages, as I was trying to figure out why anyone would use a remote to take this kind of pictures, when....................I realized it was a thread of pictures of "Radio Controlled" planes, cars, boats, etc. I can be slow at times. Ha! Anyway, again I have enjoyed all of the great shots.

When did you get the 18 -200??? I must have missed something.. :)

Good job, do you prefer the 200 over the 300 for these? you are surely closer than I can get..

Pat in GA

Thanks Pat. The 18-200mm came with the D7100. I do like the lens for walkabouts. Hardly use it for birding. Put it on for an outing with friends and haven't switched back to the 55-300mm. It's great for the birds on the boardwalk, but not for those in the back lake. There hasn't been much activity at the wetlands and I did miss a few shots of the stilts and spoonbills.

We were heading elsewhere the day we wound up at the R/C field. I took the shots in post #192 when they were fairly close. The way up shots look like dots.
