Sincerely....I'm not trying to hijack anyones posts here, but I had to get this in tonight. I was over at my neighbours house tonight, just before sunset (I'm teaching him how to use his new D7000) and we saw this creature flitting around the flowers. We don't know what it is.......never saw one of these before. We know it's not a dragonfly.........we just don't know! Anyone have any ideas?

hmmm........interesting. Cicadas are not native to this area.

not a cicada. looks like a type of moth. cicadas have transparent wings like a dragonfly.
