this 50mm is great. with the berry shot i wouldnt have been able to crop that close and still have detail or sharpness.

my 18-55 wouldnt have done that. goes to show that the kit lenses are to start you out. should show the guy complaining nikon pics arent sharp. tell him its the lens not the camera. 50mm is going to stay on for a while.

more parade pics. was using the 35-70mm manual tonight. the shots were ok should have brought my 50mm.

took a cold morning walk after dropping everyone off to school and work. got some good shots of window displays and the such. here are some of my favorites. the castle picture is HDR there are a pair of pics by this man that i might purchase. they are amazing up close. he had them printed on tin.

just got back from my family xmas party that we have had for the last 35 or more yrs. in this picture are 6 of moms children out of 12 and 30 grand and great grandchildren. this is about 1/3 of the family.

This is a great shot. I know how hard these are to make and you did an extremely nice job with this one. It's so difficult to work with so many people to get a decent group shot, you have all the reasons to be proud of this one.

it was easy Helene. i told them to watch the blinking light on the timer and to smile when it stopped. who knew it would be that easy. also im the comedian of the bunch so it was easy to make them smile.
