Day 105, 2013 - Crazy Color

I was watching the sunset waiting for something spectacular. As I sat there nothing showed and I started to pack up. Glanced over my shoulder and the sky literally shifted colors for one quick splash of color before fading. Can't tell you how fast I was unpacking to catch the colors.

Day 107, 2013 - New 300mm lens

2 miles away horizontally, and the radars are 1 mile up.

Day 108, 2013 Foggy Water

Picked up a neutral density filter and decided to give it a try. The subject, city fountain/waterfall, isn't great but I wanted to try out the technique.

By nothing more than right place at the right time I got these great bear photos. However, I owe the rescuing of this photo to photoshop. The angle of the sun blew out the whites and turned everything else to darn near silhouettes with a glowing brown fur. I tried to split the difference in the camera and then adjust the rest in photoshop.

Day 111, 2013 - While Others Sleep

While my wife sleeps all comfy in bed, I'm out taking photographs of the moon at nearly one this morning. Some people are so lazy. :pride:

I think it's called a gaining moon? Not sure but I know it is growing.

Day 112, 2013 - Black and White Sunset

Shot my evening photos and had a lot of great stuff. But, I saw the way the sun was lining up with this stack of clouds - it was crazy! So I took the shot just because. Kept coming back to it, but there wasn't any color. With no color why not go black and white. I love the way the black and white showed the craziness with no real sharpening.
