Yup...like I've been saying all along, Rick...you have a natural talent for B&W street photography...in particular, street portraiture. Great sharpness, composition and bokeh.

Yeah Jack you are right. These last few snaps remind me of that great old song...I wish they all could be California girls!!! :)

I like your street shots Rick. I have tried sitting in the square on my route to take street photos. No luck so far. I was using 55-200 lens. But, maybe I will try the 70-300 today since it will be nice out.

Newb I seek out places with a lot of foot traffic and a lot of open shade.

Outdoors lunch areas, farmers markets, walking trails and paths. Since I'm in SoCal I also like to go to the areas where the tourists and locals intermingle. (Hollywood, Silverlake, Universal Citywalk, The Grove Shopping area....)

Oh I would imagine being in Burbank you've got loads of easy access to so many people of all walks of life! I love street and people shooting - I look forward to seeing more of yours.

Great street photos, Rick, and also love the BW processing. I always enjoy your photos. I'd love to dabble in street photography, but all I have here are "village people."
