Snow White
Thank you all for the lovely comments . . . so much appreciated :)

No flash, Jack. Shot from above with an led light covered with a white hankie, placed in the vase under the flower. Camera on tripod and LONG exposure.

Snow White
January 6th ---Day 6

Wanted to play some more with the 50-500 mm lens so went to the lake. As soon as I got there, the ducks took off to the farthest end of the lake. Guess I'm going to have to wear a feather suit.

So this shot was a good excuse to play around with some filters and go completely "artsy-fartsy" --

Snow White
January 7th ---Day 7

Wide awake this morning at 4:30; so I packed a thermos of coffee and my gear and went travelling the back roads.

What a timeless picture. Americana at it's best! You can hear the snow crunching from the footsteps just by looking at this beautiful shot.

Thank you, Rick. I love fresh-fallen snow . . . the whole world seems a little more quiet and pristine.

January 9th --- Day 9

A 'Dam' Relic

I've driven by this old antique truck many times and decided I better snap a photo before it got moved. This is one of 50 "dump trucks" used to haul cement when they were building Hoover Dam. It's a 1928 White and has to be started with a crank shaft. It's so nice to live in a small town . . . spent a little bit of time chatting with the owner, "Take all the pictures you want."

This is nice HDR work. Beautiful, Helene. :) This is what real HDR should look like!
