Day Seventy One

Wow... Seventy One. You don't know how difficult this was. We went to Fredricksburg Va today for my grand daughter's 5th birthday. We had the party at a gymnastics training center. The started with Trampoline jumping and tumbling, then finished off with dives into a pit of foam blocks. I have lots of shots but my wife insists I not use the kids pics online. I had to settle for another 3D jigsaw puzzle. As you take this one apart, there is a tiny Rhino inside.

Maybe tomorrow I'll take it apart and show you the little Rhino.

Day Seventy Two

All day I struggled on what to try shooting. Some of the things I saw in traffic were a no go for obvious reasons. I pulled in the driveway and this is what I saw. He/she let me shoot for about 5 minutes before its tummy was full.

Day Seventy Three

Well the squirrel preempted me from doing this shot, but to fulfill my threat on day Seventy One, here is the "Baby" Rhino that was embedded within the large jigsaw rhino/

Day Seventy Four

Today is 3-14. It is known as PI day because the value of PI is roughly 3.14. To be a little bit more precise, it is 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510. To get any closer, you'll have to ask our resident Math Genius.

In honor of PI day, I took this photo.

Just so you'll know. I plan to slice it very soon and add a big scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream

Day Seventy Five

I was waiting for my wife to pick me up after work and spotted this first real sign of spring here. Actually I've seen several signs, but couldn't stop the car to get out the camera.
Anyway, these little flowers were only buds yesterday.

Mike, I liked your shot of the squirrel so much, I shot my own today. Not as good as yours, though. He was running away along a fence across the alley when I took this shot.

While I was out there, looking for things to shoot, I decided to shoot my flag that's in my back yard. It's still chilly out, so I didn't stay out too long.

My wife is a physics girl...she said something about pi day today and she also mention that she liked 2/7 better and that it was also an irrational number but much more interesting...frigging math and science geeks...go figure...

Jack I am curious...why are you posting your snaps in Mike's thread??? It seems so awkward to me...

I thought the same thing Jeff. I just figured if he keeps it up, I can use some of his shots toward my 365 count. (evil grin). More than likely, he's just having a senior moment.

Day Seventy Seven

I drove up on the mountain today. The area is called Skyline Drive in the Shannendoah National Forest. Most of the overlooks were closed for spring repairs, which greatly disappointed me. There was a lot of fog hovering in the valley below but I couldn't get a good place to pull off. Couldn't decide which of these I liked best.

First is an HDR attempt. I did it because of the dark tunnel, and the bright (and shadowed) rocks.

Second is some Bambies that were resting. I did this because I like Bambies.

Yeah, sorry about that, guys. I just wanted to tie in with Mike's squirrel shot, so I thought it was the best place for it. The flag shot.....well, that was just an afterthought. ;) Like Mike said...a senior moment. :)

Day Seventy Eight

Went all over today. Spent a fortune in Gasoline. I took pictures of Civil War cannons at Chancellorsville battlefield. I took pictures of flowers here and there (mostly daffodils).
Didn't like any of them. Finally, we took the grand daughters to a park where they could swing. They were each lucky enough to find one of these.
