Rocky It's never a bother. I will always answer any question from anyone the best I can. If I wrong I'm sure someone here will point it out.

I have to pull a four hour shift today Christmas Eve and have about an hour to spare right now so I don't want to get into it.

Lucky for you I suffer from Chronic insomnia and your answer should come in the next few days between all the Santa festivity's around here.

Yes I did get it to work this shot was taken with three Godox Speedlights. I did not use the SB700 I'll go into more detail later why and what I'm using and what needs to be done next to better the lighting.

This was my second attempt, and by far not what I was looking for. However a little more processing in Lightroom to take some of the yellow and red out of mine and Chris's faces I was able to come up with a photo good enough to make a 16 x 20 canvas to give to my Mom for Christmas.

I remember you working on those photo's! Sorry you gotta work, my wife has to work Christmas evening... Glad that you got the lights working. No problem with beimng busy and getting back to me later... I am not buying anything this year (I know, only a week). Its just when I do, I want to have a clue... and I know the 5100 itself does not support the CLS directly.. I will be interested in your final set and why you did not use teh 700...

Merry Christmas, talk to you later and Thanks in Advance.

Day 359
Christmas Eve

Great idea, wrong focus points.

"The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

The two children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Video Games danced in their heads.
And Chris in her sweats & T-shirt, and I in my Nikonites cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap."

So I'm not redoing the shot tonight folks sorry.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!

Nice. It even looks real. Propane?

Co2, with blow back. Airsoft 450 FPS. For a "Toy" looks feels and shoots like the real thing.

My son picked one up for himself around Thanksgiving and brought it out for "Pops" to check out. I feel in love with this thing.

Well he gave me one for Christmas so looks like I'm going to be joining him on the Airsoft field this year, was sort of the plan anyhow he's just pushing the issue to see if the old man still has in him.

By the way neither of us are spring chickens so it's going to be interesting who gets hauled of the field in a ambulance first. Two grow men playing with toy guns go figure, lol.

My airsoft has a propane adapter and it's a lot less expensive to shoot using liter bottles of propane.

My brother-in-law and I used to shoot each other and I know for a fact those pellets hurt. Don't shoot your eye out.
